In Art We Trust? is a breakfast conversation at MINA Gallery & Cafe in Amsterdam exploring whether culture and artworks could function as reserve assets. Participants will gather around ten works by Nicolas Bets to discuss how communities might collectively own and preserve cultural heritage, whether a cultural currency could fund artists and archives, and what it would take to build a €150M cultural reserve. The session runs from 09:00 to 10:30 on June 25, starting with coffee and croissants, followed by a short introduction and open discussion connecting ideas from stablecoins to art-based value systems. Attendees are invited to bring ideas, objections, critiques, and prototypes to shape the conversation.
