AMD Developer Hackathon: ACT II is a free, online AI hackathon centered on AI agents – build intelligent agents and high-performance AI apps on AMD GPUs in the cloud, using AMD Developer Cloud, ROCm, and the Fireworks AI API. It runs to 11 July 2026 and is open to everyone, from first-timers to seasoned builders.
There are three tracks: a beginner-friendly token-efficient routing agent, a video-captioning pipeline built on the Fireworks AI API, and an open “Unicorn” track judged on creativity, originality, and product potential. The total prize pool is $10,000 ($5,000 / $3,000 / $2,000), and AMD AI Developer Program members get cloud credits, GPU access, and training resources to build with.
