Systems in Practice is a panel discussion at Unicorn Factory Lisboa exploring how contemporary artists engage with the systems, processes, and protocols that shape what is made, seen, and valued today. Held on June 4, the conversation brings together Digital Art Prize finalists Jonas Lund and Gretchen Andrew, alongside last year's winner Cezar Mocan, moderated by Abigail Miller with Nina Roehrs. The discussion examines how artists make visible the structures governing contemporary life – from algorithmic procedures and trained models to blockchain registries, financial mechanisms, and simulated environments. The panel takes place in the context of the SYSTEMS exhibition presented in conjunction with the 2026 ABS Digital Art Prize.
