Performance Operating System is a keynote-performance at NFC Summit Lisboa on June 5, exploring how blockchain architecture can preserve and regenerate live performance indefinitely. Operator, an artist duo, presents an on-chain system that stores choreography, music, notation, costume, motion data, and conservation manuals as smart contracts and SVG-generated notations on the blockchain. The system uses a registry contract, a 1/1 HTML NFT, and nine data contracts to enable performances to be recreated without the original artists, institutions, or permission – solving a sixty-year problem in ephemeral art preservation.
