The NBA Playoffs Prediction Market Hackathon is a global, fully virtual competition running from May 4 to June 1, 2026, organized by DEGA. Participants build automated trading strategies for prediction markets focused on the NBA Playoffs, using Canon, DEGA's open-source CLI toolkit that scaffolds, runs, and monitors prediction market automations from the terminal. The hackathon offers a $1,000 prize pool in USD stablecoin, awarded to the top performer based on profit percentage. The event is designed for all experience levels, with five free workshops held in April covering prediction markets, Canon setup, running and customizing strategies, and an AMA session. Participants can work individually or in teams of up to five, with no prior programming or prediction market knowledge required.
