MUBA Blockchain Hackathon 2026 runs August 26–September 6 in a hybrid format, with an online build phase and a physical pitch day. Organized by the Malaysia University Blockchain Association, the hackathon focuses on Web3 projects built by student teams in Malaysia.

Teams choose a sponsor track, build with real APIs or SDKs, and submit their work through Devfolio. Current challenge partners include Sui, Thetanuts, and Gonka Router, with track details still to be revealed.

Participants must join in teams of 2–4. The hackathon is open to Malaysian citizens and visa holders currently residing in Malaysia, and each participant needs to submit a LinkedIn account for verification.

Projects must be built from scratch during the hackathon period. Submissions include a pitch deck, GitHub repository, project socials, MVP video, and deployed app link if available. Judging is based on technical implementation, practicality and impact, presentation, UX and design, and originality.

Registration closes on August 25. Project submissions close on September 5, followed by the Demo Day and Grand Finale on September 6.
