ETHRome IV is a curated three-day Ethereum hackathon for 40 selected builders working on real projects inside the Ethereum ecosystem.
The event runs from September 11–13 in Rome. Hosted by Urbe Hub and the urbe.eth community, the hackathon is designed for builders who already have concrete work in motion and want to spend the weekend shipping alongside other Ethereum-focused teams.
The build directions are AI for Web3, finance for Web3, and privacy for Web3. The format is focused on hands-on work rather than general conference programming, with hackers building inside Urbe Hub across the weekend and presenting projects developed during the event.
ETHRome is aimed at solo hackers, early teams, and groups with ideas ready to build. Teams can include up to three people, and at least half of each team is expected to be on-site. Meals are included throughout the weekend.
Curated access
Applications are reviewed individually, and applying does not guarantee approval. Selected hackers receive access to the ETHRome hacker Telegram group, with the hacker manual sent once it is ready.

The event is also connected to urbe.eth, the Web3 builder community behind Urbe Hub. The community focuses on onboarding and supporting builders through shared knowledge, hands-on learning, and collaboration.
