Aotearoa AI Hackathon Festival runs August 3–10 across New Zealand, with 48-hour local hackathons focused on AI for good. Participants will build practical solutions around food insecurity, digital accessibility, workforce upskilling, cross-border collaboration, and indigenous environmental custodianship.

Host locations include Auckland, Waikato, New Plymouth, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Teams can register together or individually, with local winners submitting recorded pitches for the next stage.

Finalists pitch at the Aotearoa AI Summit in Auckland on September 18, where the winning team is selected.
